Breitachklamm ravine

Between Tiefenbach and Oberstdorf the Breitachklamm is an experience in summer or winter. The ravine is a unique natural monument in Central Europe.

Since 1905, the Breitachklamm has been accessible via hiking trails. In former times, it was called the "Große Zwing". Encouraged by their priest, Johannes Schiebel, it was indeed a considerable enterprise for the people of Tiefenbach to blaze a passable trail through the enormous gorge.

No matter what season or weather, the Breitachklamm is worth a visit.

With sturdy footwear and a warm anorak, this crisp cold winter world can hardly touch the warmth of our souls. Mulled wine in a cosy inn will pep up sensitive souls and the day will become an unforgettable experience.
